The Halloween Party was a blast!  Many thanks to the hard work done by Barbara Jamison and all the others who showed up on Friday night and Saturday morning to decorate.  Also, special thanks to all those who stayed late to clean up.  Party attendees also ate well due to the work of the Catering Committee comprised of  Kathy Jacobs, Andy Anderson, and Joyce Laws.

You do not have to be a member of a certain committee to help decorate, clean up, or whatever in order to help our Krewe.  Just show up, and you will be part of the team.  I did, and it was fun.  Remember -- just as with everything else – you get back what you put in. 
Big events are fast approaching.  First, as to Ennead.  Our New Members party is Saturday, November 11.  Details of where and when are elsewhere in the Newsletter.  (Our Editor allows only minimum space for the Chairman’s epistle.)  Please be sure to attend that party and meet our prospective members.  Who knows – you might just meet your newest “best friend.”
Outside of Ennead, the Holidays are fast approaching.  Thanksgiving (my personal favorite) is here, and Christmas is close behind.  So, start your shopping soon.
And, speaking of money.  The Board could find no way to balance the budget while continuing to bring the quality parties which the Members have come to like.  That’s right – we have a dues increase.  The annual dues for 2007 have been increased to $275.  This is the first dues increase since 2004.  The number of members has remained roughly the same, but our expenses have increased.  All in all - $275 annually is still quite a bargain.
We continue to look for a Photographer.  Please call me if you are interested.
