Chair's Comments

Carnival Memphis 2008 is upon us! One of the most important events of Ennead's year is our Clubroom to be held on June 4th. Please see details of the evening elsewhere in the newsletter. I urge everyone to attend. You will have a great time seeing the Carnival Memphis Royalty- Kind Howard Stovall and Queen Peyton Woodson- and their entourage. You will also get the chance to welcome Ennead's Princess Kirstin Alber. Andy Anderson, Ennead Vice Chairman, has been busy with his Clubroom committee making preparations for a special night. We will also be presenting the BIG CHECK from our Fund Raiser to the representatives of the 3 Children's Charities. The Clubroom theme "Springtime In Paris" will wind up our Carnival season. So, grab your gladrags and tuxedos to party the evening away. Don't forget your masks to wear or carry that night.

Upcoming events include our annual July 4th party at the River Terrace on Mud Island, and our annual Business Meeting in August at the Racquet Club when election of 6 new Board members will take place.

Many members have asked about when Ennead Directory will be available. It is in the process of being printed, and will be mailed to you.

This is a short Comments Column for me. So, I will close by issuing a big HIP HIP HOORAY for all the members who make Ennead run in order for the entire krewe to enjoy get-togethers all year long.
