Chair's Comments

HI, everyone!

What a peaceful day in the country at McClain’s Hound Dog Ranch we had.  How long has it been since you played a game of horseshoes, badminton or croquet?  An afternoon in the country was delightful.  Elvis music was in the air.  Was he really there?  The picnic was great.  Thank you, McClain!

We have an excellent year of fun filled events planned!  Our Halloween costume party featuring the classic rock n’ roll music of the Reflections will be a blast!  You could win the trophy for the best costumes.  Be sure to buy a raffle ticket for some great prizes.

Our annual Christmas Gala is at the Memphis Country Club offers great dining and live entertainment.  Make your reservations for Saturday December 13th.

Instead of the traditional new member open house in November, the board has elected to make the wine parties extra special and conducive to recruiting new members. Recommend guests who you know would be good members. Tell them we would love for them to join our merry krewe.

We are an exclusive group for singles and professionals who are strong supporters of Carnival and the community.  Everyone should be very excited, so ignite a fire and encourage your friends to join now.  We have a lot to offer!

Ennead is happy to announce we have chosen Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, Street Ministries and Youth Villages as our charities this year.  Please be generous with your time and talents.  Every member of the Krewe plays a vital role in its success and we owe all of you our thanks.

Love to all,
Robie Hoffman

Message from David Brockman, Membership Chairman

Each year we lose some members due to normal attrition....people get married, etc. In the past we have had a big costly
membership party in November. We will not be having that party this year..... the effectiveness of this recruiting tool is in question. Our membership drive will start immediately and be ongoing throughout the year.
We will be calling each member and most former members "beating the drum" for new members. You can get an application online at www.ennead.info on the "About Us" page, from any board member or just call David Brockmann at 323-4205 or email brockmanndavid@hotmail.com.
Once we have a few prospective members we will introduce them to the Board of Directors at a special small gathering. The sponsor of the prospective member will also attend. So, start thinking of new member prospects and do not hesitate to call the Membership Chairman, David Brockmann, with suggestions or names of prospects.
