Chair's Comments Hello Krewe, Well, here we are with Thanksgiving just a few short weeks away! It's hard to believe. The Halloween party was a success. Thank you, thank you to all of you who work to make our events run so smoothly. Great job! We are planning several events in the next couple of months. Please think about recruiting efforts and inviting someone who you haven’t approached yet. It’s up to all of us to keep our Krewe vital and growing. The Executive Committee of Carnival Memphis is planning one Mega Fundraiser for our Children’s Charity Initiative with food and live music. The ten Krewe Chairmen are working hard. This is in the planning stage at this point, but we are going to ask all members to help with this event. We are going to have a great year! In recognition of your hard work, support and investment in our Krewe and to Carnival Memphis, in 2009 the Grand Krewe members will be offering a discount for Carnival Memphis Association membership. You have the privilege of joining for $50.00 instead of $75.00. Hope to see everyone at the Fairway Towers Saturday, November 15 for our Wine Party! Good food, good drink, good friends – what more could you ask? Remember, this is also a recruiting event! Join us for an unforgettable festive Christmas Gala. Please mark your calendar for Saturday December 13 at the Memphis Country Club. We will have a wonderful dinner and dance the night away! The way to great creativity is really quite simple. Her funeral will be Friday, October 31. The family requests that instead
