Chair's Comments Dearest Friends, Season’s greetings! What a fun and exciting year for our Krewe. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve our Krewe. Being involved in fun activities, sharing laughter and making friendships is a wonderful gift! Jeff Bailey was more than happy to host our New Member Recruiting party and make it a fun event. Like our monthly wine party, everyone brought one of their favorite dishes or a bottle of wine and a prospective member. We thank him very much! Queen Kathy Jacobs as Krewe Historian displayed portraits of the Royal Courts who have represented Ennead for the past eighteen years. Belinda Pittman decorated the tables with soft candlelight and original hand painted statues of Ennead art. What an unforgettable representation of our grand heritage as a Grand Carnival Krewe. Our guests were given a warm welcome by members, directors and especially by the Membership Chairman, David Brockmann. He is a fine ambassador to encourage new members to join Ennead. We are so proud of him! We have nine major social events: Grand Coronation Ball, Mardi Gras party, Mega Fundraiser, Kentucky Derby Party, Club Room, and Fireworks on the River July Fourth, the Annual Business Meeting, Halloween Bash and the Christmas Gala. We have so many other monthly parties. There is something for everyone. If you aren’t partying with Ennead you are not partying! Each of you should invite
a friend to our Christmas Gala. What better opportunity to introduce your
guests to our Krewe! Please reserve a table for our dinner, and plan to
dance to the sounds of James Ponder and the Hurricanes! Preparations are already underway for our 2009 Coronation, January 24th. A big thank you to Andy Anderson, John Goodyear, Alan Bolton, Barbara Baker, Billy Britton, Janice Casey, Susan Hanlon, Kathy Jacobs, Lynn Maxted, Belinda Pittman, Bill Raiford, Marta Vinzant, Llana Smith, John Rada, Sara Qualls and Raul Robles who are working to make this a big success. You are admired and appreciated! Because we continue to maintain careful control with our costs, annual dues remain at $275.00 the same level as 2008. Please remember to forward your dues payment as soon as possible so that your name remains on the current roster for 2009. Again, thank you for your support throughout the year. Happy Holidays! With best wishes, |

The party at Fairway Towers was a
big hit....We got a lot of good comments about this party and had a good
number of prospective members in attendance. Sponsors and friends of the
prospective members need to encourage them to attend the next
activity.......The brunch on the 7th at Marcianos and then the Christmas
Party Dance on the 13th. They do have to pay the $30 guest fee for the
Dance. Keep up the good work and contact me if you need assistance in your
recruiting efforts.
