Marta's Memo

I’m sorry to say that work kept me away from the Hound Dog Ranch Picnic, but I hear we have quite a few sharp shooters in our group.  Thanks so much, McClain, for hosting our picnic.  I’m so glad the weather cooperated too.

Thank you, Fontaine, for hosting our October wine party.  Everyone has been raving about what a fabulous venue your clubhouse is.  I think we are all hoping to enjoy your place again.

We have a wonderful New Member Recruiting Party planned at River Oaks Grill.  Everyone bring a guest who is interested in joining or rejoining the best Krewe in Carnival Memphis.  I will have printed invitations available if you want; just ask.  We have a presentation planned to entertain and inform our members and guests about Ennead, our monthly events, our involvement with Carnival Memphis, and our Royal Court. You’ll not want to miss our array of past photos that will be on display.  We are planning a champagne greeting at the door and two complimentary beverage tickets will be given to each attendee.  Additional beverages can be purchased at the bar.  I have tasted some of their hors d’oeuvres, and let me say, you’re in for a treat.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and that means we have the opportunity to share our culinary delights and thankfulness with our fellow members.   The Pot Luck Supper is a “members only” party, giving our members the opportunity to spend this special time with each other.  Be sure to check with Mary Pat on what to bring to Kathy Basherig’s house for Thanksgiving Pot Luck.

Don’t forget to make plans to attend our Christmas Gala and Dinner at the Memphis Country Club on December 12th.  This is a special time of year and a special occasion to don your finery, dine and dance to a fabulous band, Swing Time, with Tom Prestigiacomo.  Your check is your reservation for dinner.  Deadline for reservations is November 30th.  Please mail your check or give to one of your board members.  You can find more details elsewhere in the newsletter.

Time just seems to fly….we must be having fun!
