I would like to start off my thoughts with letting the membership know just what a great job the outgoing Chairman (Marta Vinzant) and the entire 2009/10 Board did in making the year a success. Secondly the transition to the new board is going very well. You selected six very talented and easy to work with new members. This group has blended well with the carry over board. We have an awesome team! What makes EVERYTHING happen is you. Thank you! We are in the process of setting up the entire new year's committees and calendar of events. By the time you get this we will have made numerous committee board appointments (37 in all). I ask that you please get involved as these are great people to work with and they will appreciate your help. Many of you have served Ennead in the last year, (Thank You!) and I really hope you will continue to pour your talent and fun spirit into the coming year, as we're going to have a good time. Details of activities and how you can connect with the new committees and groups will be posted to the Ennead website by early September. Wine Parties: One of the more popular and well attended of the many Ennead events are the monthly wine parties. They are casual, fun, free, and a nice place to meet people. They are also a great venue for introducing your friends to Ennead. Each month the men and women of Ennead alternate bringing either wine or food. The potluck is always bountiful, and the atmosphere is super. This is a members and prospective new members (singles) event. Attention wine party hosts: Thank You for your gracious invitation to you homes! You make these parties happen! I would ask that you who have hosted in the past, and those who would consider hosting in the future please contact the Wine Party Chairman (Donna Mikeal) to let her know of your willingness to open your home for these events. Donna will schedule a month to your choosing, and ensure that people know the time, date, and details to make it a success. The new year is here, pick your preferred month now! Speaking of Wine - A Special Thanks: Thank you to Dottie Crihfield for donating a refrigerator for the storage room and to David Brockmann for moving it into the storage room. Fall starts the new Ennead schedule ... and September is just the beginning: Dinner groups, wine party, and small group activities, and more happen every month. > September adds in the 20th Anniversary Party > October brings out the Annual Halloween Costume event > November is our New Member's Party > December opens the holiday season with our Christmas Gala > January kicks off the Carnival season with the Coronation of the 2011 ENNEAD Royalty I thank you for your vote and election to the Ennead Board.
